E! has picked up a third season of its scripted series “The Royals.”

The renewal comes two weeks ahead of the show’s season finale. The series starring Elizabeth Hurley as the queen of England has suffered some ratings declines this season — it’s averaging a 0.3 same-day rating in adults 18-49, down from 0.5 last season. With delayed viewing, it rises to a 0.6, with 1.3 million viewers.

“We are incredibly proud of the success of ‘The Royals,'” says Jeff Olde, head of original programming at E! “The series has captured fans and brought them into a regal world of sexy, fun drama. We can’t wait to see what season three will bring.”

“The Royals” joins these shows that have been picked up for 2016 and beyond.
