Ratings Report for “This Week with Christiane Amanpour”

ABC News’ “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” drew 2.25 million Total Viewers and 829,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.

ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper anchored the program on Sunday.

For the 2nd straight Sunday, “This Week” improved on its year-ago performance (1/3/10) among Adults 25-54 (+6%). The program was up the most year-to-year, compared to CBS’ “Face the Nation” (+3%) and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (+1%).

Sunday on “This Week:” The President’s top economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, sat down for an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper to discuss job growth in the new year. Then, in an exclusive interview, actor and activist George Clooney comes to “This Week” with a message for the government of Sudan: “The world is watching.” John Prendergast of the Enough Project joined Mr. Clooney to discuss the launch of a new project using satellites to provide immediate images of the war-torn region in an effort to prevent human atrocities. ABC News’ George Will, Democratic political strategist Donna Brazile, ABC News’ Political Director Amy Walter, and National Journal Congressional Correspondent Major Garrett discuss the incoming Republican Congress and their investigative agenda on the roundtable.

Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week” and James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
