“This Week” Narrows Total Viewing Gap

With “Meet the Press” by 5%

“This Week with Christiane Amanpour” had 2.08 million Total Viewers and 700,000 viewers in the A25-54 demographic on October 31, 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research. The program narrowed the gap in Total Viewers with NBC’s “Meet the Press” by 5% week to week.

On Sunday, “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” aired an exclusive pre-election discussion featuring Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) and Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ). The program also featured an interview with Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John O. Brennan. Former House Majority Leader and Chairman of FreedomWorks Dick Armey, Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post, Democratic political strategist Donna Brazile, ABC News’ Cokie Roberts, Jon Karl and George Will, all joined Ms. Amanpour on the roundtable.

Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week” and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
