ABC Records Most-watched Little League World Series U.S. Championship Since 2002
More than Five Million Viewers Tuned in for Illinois-Nevada Title Game
The United States Championship game of the 2014 Little League World Series presented by Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes – in which Chicago, Ill. defeated Las Vegas, Nev. 7-5 on Saturday, Aug. 23 – was the most-watched U.S. Championship on ABC since 2002 with 5,191,000 viewers (P2+), according to Nielsen. This marks a 65 percent increase in viewership over last year’s U.S. title game between Chula Vista, Calif. and Westport, Conn. The U.S. Championship also ranked as the highest-rated U.S. Championship on ABC since 2002 with a 3.4 U.S. household rating. The rating reflects an increase of 62 percent over last year’s U.S. final.
