The Voice Holly Tucker

via press release:

NBC is #1 Tuesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers and all other key measures with the #1 and #2 shows of the night in 18-49 and total viewers, “America’s Got Talent” and “The Voice.”   NBC won six of six half-hours among those networks in 18-49 and total viewers, winning the night by a 94 percent margin in 18-49 (3.1 vs. 1.6 for #2 Fox) and 60 percent in total viewers (10.9 million vs. 6.8 million for CBS).
  • From 8-9:01 p.m. ET, “The Voice” (3.0/11 in 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall) won the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key measure — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers — with a margin in adults 18-49 of 88 percent versus the first hour of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” (3.0 vs. 1.6).
  • “The Voice” is currently running within 6 percent of the 3.2 rating for last week’s 9 p.m. Tuesday telecast in official nationals and is matching last week’s 3.0 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings despite the move to 8 p.m.  Note that every regular telecast of “The Voice” so far this cycle has grown by 0.1-0.2 of a rating point from these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings to the official-national results.
  • From 9:01-11 p.m. ET, the season debut of “America’s Got Talent” (3.1/9 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) is the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.  “Talent” is #1 in the slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings category and beats the ABC-CBS competition combined in all those measures — adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
  • These are NBC’s top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period since the “Voice” finale on December 18, 2012.
  • Versus last year’s finale (2.4 on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012), “Talent” is up 29 percent in adults 18-49.  In total viewers, “Talent” is up versus last year’s finale by 5 percent (11.102 million vs. 10.590 million) and vs. last year’s premiere, “Talent” is up in total viewers by 6 percent (11.102 million vs. 10.480 million on Monday, May 14, 2012).  In 18-49, “Talent” is within 16 percent of last year’s debut (3.1 vs. 3.7).
