CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” DRAWS MORE THAN 3 MILLION VIEWERS TO FINISH FIRST WITH VIEWERS ON SEPT. 13

 

 

 

“Face The Nation” is the #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program

 

 

 

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program, finishing first in viewers (3.02m), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings on Sept. 13. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 57.4% of the CBS affiliates. 

 

 

 

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.30m) and tied for first in adults 25-54 (0.7/04). Compared to last year, FACE THE NATION is up +6% in viewers (from 3.12m) and even in adults 25-54.

 

 

 

The Sept. 13 broadcast featured interviews with Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson. Host John Dickerson also spoke to Democratic strategist David Axelrod and CBS News Elections Director Anthony Salvanto. This week’s panel of analysts included CBS News contributor Peggy Noonan; John Heilemann of Bloomberg Politics; Gwen Ifill of Newshour; and Peter Baker of The New York Times. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer of the Emmy-award winning FACE THE NATION, one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television.
