“CBS Sunday Morning” Posts Double-Digit Percentage Year-to-Year Increases in Adults 25-54 and Viewers
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD remained the #1 Sunday morning news program and posted double-digit year-to-year percentage increases with adults 25-54 and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 5.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.02 million viewers and a 1.1/07 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +16% in viewers (from 4.33m) and up +10% in adults 25-54 (from 1.0/06).
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +2% in viewers (5.99m from 5.89m) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast was anchored by Lee Cowan. The broadcast featured Cowan’s look inside the Secret Service; Mo Rocca’s profile of comedian and actress Amy Schumer; Bill Geist’s visit to Pie Town, New Mexico; Rita Braver’s look at the world of stamp collecting; a report on Alabama resident Lou Lambert Schell’s journey to sites around the country mentioned in the book Charles Kuralt’s America; David Edelstein’s look at summer movies; and Steve Hartman’s interview with a man who locates historic places in often-overlooked locations.
