Cbs Sunday Morning With Charles Osgood Continues Its Reign As The #1 Sunday Morning News Program In Households, Viewers, And Adults 25-54
“Cbs Sunday Morning” Is Up +6% In Households And+3% In Viewers Compared To The Same Day Last Year
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD continues its reign as the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, a ccording to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, March 11. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.4/10 with 4.78m viewers, 1.3/07 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (from 3.2/10) and +3% in viewers (from 4.64m).
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10), +1% in viewers (5.32m from 5.28m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
The broadcast included correspondent Barry Petersen’s examination of the health problems arising from sleep deprivation and 60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon’s report from Africa on the efforts to provide morphine to the tens of millions who are needlessly suffering severe pain. In addition, Anthony Mason visited Aretha Franklin’s old Detroit neighborhood, where the “Queen of Soul” shared a few secrets about her past romances; Seth Doane followed Prince Harry’s tour through the Caribbean and South America as part of the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Celebration; and Mo Rocca went behind the scenes of Harvard’s annual “Hasty Pudding Show,” where the men are men and the women are… also men.
