CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted year-to-year gains in viewers and remained the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 11.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING averaged 5.97 million viewers and a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same week a year ago, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +2% in viewers (from 5.84m).
Season-to-date CBS SUNDAY MORNING is averaging 6.01 million viewers (up +2% from 5.89m) and is even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07).
Sunday’s broadcast featured Jan Crawford’s look at how during the “Gilded Age” of the late 1800s, young American women with family fortunes moved to Europe and acquired royal titles by marrying wealthy aristocrats; Erin Moriarty’s profile of visionary inventor and entrepreneur Dean Kamen; John Blackstone’s profile of California Gov. Jerry Brown; Lee Cowan’s visit with members of the famed L.A. comedy troupe The Groundlings; and Martha Teichner’s look at how painter Henri Matisse put scissors to paper to create art after a chronic illness made painting difficult.
