The TV Personalities will Present the Highly Anticipated Sunday Night Reality To Be Produced Out of Universal Studios Florida

MIAMI – January 9, 2014 – Telemundo proudly announces the return of international TV personality and fashion mogul Daisy Fuentes and renowned entertainment anchor Jorge Bernal as hosts of “La Voz Kids,” the highly anticipated Sunday night reality show, set to premiere in the spring of 2014.  Following the success of the first season which reached over 14.5 million total viewers, the popular reality series features the country’s best young vocalists between the ages of seven and 15 competing for a recording contract and a cash prize to support their education.  Produced for the first time out of Universal Studios Florida, “La Voz Kids” will once again give Telemundo’s audience the opportunity to witness how the stars of the future are discovered and developed.

Daisy Fuentes instantly became a household name when she broke out on MTV as their first Latina VJ.  Joining Telemundo’s ‘La Voz Kids’ comes full circle for Fuentes who began her television career as a weather-girl at the network’s New York City affiliate, WNJU.  The Cuban-born model was quickly discovered by MTV and became the first VJ to be signed to both MTV U.S. and MTV Latino, launching her as an international star.  Fuentes hosted some of the network’s most iconic series including “MTV’s House of Style,” “MTV Spring Break” and “MTV Internacional.”  Fuentes went on to host “America’s Funniest Home Videos” for ABC and also hosted specials such as the “Miss Universe” pageants, “Countdown to the Latin Grammy’s,” “Miss USA” pageants and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” A pioneer in celebrity branding, Fuentes parlayed her success into a fashion and lifestyle empire.  No stranger to promoting brands, Fuentes began her career as a model and became the first Hispanic face of Revlon cosmetics and signed to a worldwide contract, followed by endorsements for major corporations such as Pantene, American Express, M&Ms, among others.  As a registered trademark, daisy fuentes® now sells exclusively at KOHL’S retailers.  Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Fuentes’ line is the second longest running celebrity apparel brand in history, exceeding 1.5 billion dollars in sales.

Jorge Bernal is the host of Telemundo’s daytime entertainment show, “Suelta La Sopa” and his own radio morning show, “Tu Mañana Live!” on SiriusXM’s channel 152.  For more than a decade, he served as entertainment anchor for “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste” and also hosted other Telemundo productions, including the red carpet specials for “Billboard Latin Music Awards” and “Premios Tu Mundo.”  His dynamic personality, charisma and sense of humor have been the key ingredients to become one of the most beloved and relevant Latin figures in the TV industry.
