Glee Produces Two Gold Soundtracks


NEW YORK, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ — Columbia Records — It’s clear that Fox’s new comedy Glee is a runaway hit with no signs of slowing down. The show was recently awarded the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best TV Series – Comedy or Musical by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. And the music from this smash show has hit some incredible milestones as well. Both soundtracks, Glee: The Music, Volume 1 and Glee: The Music, Volume 2 have been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 units. On top of that, over 4 million songs from Glee have been downloaded online since last May. Glee: The Music, Volume 1 entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #4 in its debut week, while Glee: The Music: Volume 2 debuted at #3.
