GSN’S EMMY®-NOMINATED ‘THE CHASE’ SETS PREMIERE EPISODE RATINGS HIGH WITH SEASON 4 DEBUT, TUESDAY, JANUARY 27
Special Celebrity Edition of the Show Coming in Week Two
January 29, 2015 (Santa Monica, CA) — GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today that its Emmy®-nominated hit quiz show, THE CHASE had its highest rating ever for a premiere, as the show kicked off its fourth season on Tuesday, January 27 at 8:00pm ET/PT.
Hosted by Brooke Burns and featuring the brilliant and intimidating Mark Labbett (aka “The Beast”) in the ultimate trivia challenge, THE CHASE is one of GSN’s most popular original series. The show has attracted more than 23 million total viewers since its premiere in August 2013. The season four premiere delivered over 1 million total viewers cumulative with the 11pm ET encore. Compared to its season three premiere, the 8pm ET premiere was up 56% in W25-54, +81% W18-49 and +59% W18-34. It was also up across the board, when compared to the season one and two premieres.
Next week (Tuesday, February 3 at 8:00pm ET/PT), THE CHASE will feature a special celebrity episode as TV stars Carson Kressley (“How to Look Good Naked”), Cameron Mathison (“All My Children”) and Tatyana Ali (“The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”) will take on The Beast and attempt to win a substantial cash prize for their respective charities. An additional celebrity episode, featuring “Scandal” stars Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Brian Letscher will air later this season.
Based on the highly successful UK format, THE CHASE is produced by ITV Studios America with Bob Boden, Michael Kelpie and Martin Scott serving as Executive Producers.
