Best Daily Performance of 2009 in Unique Visitors

Against robust counter programming, the debut of Disney Channel original series “JONAS,” starring the music sensations the Jonas Brothers, ranked as TV’s No. 1 program for the night in Kids 6-11 (1.6 million), Tweens 9-14 (1.6 million) and girl demos, defeating the premiere of Nickelodeon’s “Fairly OddParents: Wishology, Part 2” across all key demos. Launching with an impressive 4.0 million Total Viewers, “JONAS” defeated Nickelodeon in the half hour by a solid 11% (3.6 million).

Impressively, head-to-head at 8 o’clock, “JONAS” overshadowed “Wishology Part 2” by 7% in Kids 6-11 (1.6 million vs. 1.5 million) and by 45% in Tweens 9-14 (1.6 million vs. 1.1 million). Among girl demos, “JONAS” decimated the competition, more than doubling Nickelodeon in Girls 6-11 (112%; 1.2 million vs. 566,000) and nearly quadrupling it in Tween Girls (276%; 1.2 million vs. 319,000).

• “JONAS” registered Disney Channel’s best ratings in the half-hour in 8 months in Total Viewers (4.0 million), Kids 6-11 (1.6 million) and Tweens 9-14 (1.6 million) – since 9/27/08.

• Versus year-ago time period averages (5/3/08), “JONAS” generated hefty gains, more than doubling in Total Viewers (135%; 4.0 million vs. 1.7 million) and Kids 6-11 (152%; 1.6 million vs. 636,000), and more than tripling in Tweens 9-14 (216%; 1.6 million vs. 506,000).

• On Saturday May 2, 2009, the premiere of “JONAS” led to its best daily performance of 2009 with over 1 million unique visitors.
