NBA Finals: Most-Watched Ever on ABC
Through three games, the 2012 NBA Finals – Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder – is the most-watched Finals ever on ABC, averaging 16,099,000 viewers (P2+), according to Fast Nationals from Nielsen.  Sunday night’s Game 3 broadcast delivered 15,452,000 viewers and was up double digits among Men 18-34 and People 18-34 from the corresponding game in 2011.
Additionally, the series to date is up seven percent in household rating (9.7 vs. 9.1) and five percent in viewership (16,099,000 vs. 15,345,000) compared to last year’s three-game averages. The 9.7 three-game average is the highest since 2004.
Game 3 recorded an 8.8 household rating.
Game 3 of The Finals on ABC live through special simulcasts on ESPN3 logged an average minute audience of 91,721 across computers, smartphones and tablets via WatchESPN and through ESPN on Xbox LIVE.  Additionally, Game 3 generated 321,000 unique viewers and 16.1 million minutes across platforms, up 26 percent and 19 percent, respectively, compared to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The 2012 NBA Finals continue with Game 4 on Tuesday, June 19, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN Radio and ESPN3. The Kia NBA Countdown pregame show will precede the game at 8:30 p.m.
