Continuing to prove its tremendous strength with young viewers, CONAN delivered 633,000 adults 18-34 and 1,038,000 adults 18-49 in its fifth week on TBS, with a median age of 33.  The fifth week of CONAN averaged 1,386,000 viewers overall.

Competitively through its first four weeks on TBS, CONAN was television’s top late-night talk show among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49.  Among 18-34, CONAN’s deliveries more than doubled that of the nearest competitor.  CONAN’s median age for the first four weeks (33) ties it with TBS’s Lopez Tonight as the youngest late-night talk show.

CONAN also continues to score extremely well in time-shifted viewing, growing its third week on TBS (Nov. 22-25) by 20% among adults 18-34 and 17% adults 18-49 when comparing Live + 7 deliveries to Live + Same Day.

Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns once again delivered basic cable’s top sitcom telecasts, with the Wednesday 10:30 p.m. episode ranking #1 with 2.8 million viewers and 1.7 million adults 18-49.  The 10 p.m. episode came in second, with 2.7 million viewers and 1.6 million adults 18-49.

Adult Swim
Adult Swim ranked #1 ranked among all basic cable networks for total day delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-24 and men 18-24.  The late-night network also ranked as the #2 basic cable network for total day delivery of men 18-34 and adults 18-49 (behind ESPN).

The second week of December 2010 attracted solid delivery gains compared to the same time period last year across all key demos—adults 18-34 delivery (506,000) expanded by 9%, adults 18-24 (280,000) expanded by 14%, men 18-34 (315,000) expanded by 4%, men 18-24 (179,000) expanded by 7%, and adults 18-49 (724,000) expanded by 11%.

Adult Swim telecasts of FAMILY GUY and ROBOT CHICKEN accounted for 14 of the Top 50 telecasts of the week on all basic cable among adults 18-34, and 16 of the Top 50 among men 18-34.

TNT’s The Closer returned for the second leg of its sixth season Monday, ranking as basic cable’s #1 entertainment program for the week among total viewers (5.8 million).  The Closer also averaged more than 1.8 million adults 25-54.

Also premiering Monday was the second-season launch of the critically acclaimed Men of a Certain Age, which averaged 2.4 million viewers and 1 million adults 25-54.

Sunday night, TNT presented a special holiday episode of its hit series Leverage, delivering 2.1 million viewers and 944,000 adults 25-54.  Leverage will end its third season with a special two-hour event this Sunday, beginning at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).

Through 16 regular season games, TNT’s NBA coverage is averaging a 1.7 U.S. HH rating (+42% vs. 1.2 U.S. rating for last year’s corresponding coverage), as well as 2,679,000 total viewers (+43% vs. 1,877,000 total viewers) and 1,974,000 households (+39% vs. 1,421,000 households).

Monday night’s
line-up (8-10 p.m.) of animated comedies ranked as the evening’s #1 television destination for boys 2-11 and boys 6-11.  Compared to the 2009 time period, average boys 6-11 delivery (373,000) increased by 9% and ratings (2.9) by 7%, kids 9-14 delivery (405,000) increased by 4% and ratings (1.7) by 6%, and boys 9-14 delivery (318,000) increased by 29% and ratings (2.6) by 30%.

The 2010 Annie Award-nominated ADVENTURE TIME (8 p.m.) kicked off Monday’s performance with solid gains vs. 2009—kids 6-11 delivery (696,000) improved by 14% and ratings (2.8) by 12%, kids 2-11 delivery (989,000) and ratings (2.4) both improved by 9%, boys 6-11 delivery (472,000) and ratings (3.7) both improved by 12%, and boys 2-11 delivery (622,000) improved by 2% while boys 9-14 delivery (365,000) improved by 25%.

Also nominated for a 2010 Annie Award, REGULAR SHOW (Monday, 8:15 p.m.) scored double-digit gains across the board: kids 6-11 delivery (725,000) improved by 36%; kids 2-11 delivery (979,000) improved by 22%, kids 9-14 delivery (590,000) improved by 28%, boys 6-11 delivery (517,000) improved by 46%, boys 2-11 delivery (660,000) improved by 28% and boys 9-14 delivery (430,000) improved by 56%.

Wednesday night’s schedule of original live-action alternative programming (7-10 p.m.) included DUDE, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN (8 p.m.), which posted growth among key demos: kids 6-11 delivery (474,000) grew by 8% and ratings (1.9) by 6%, boys 6-11 delivery (415,000) grew by 20% and ratings (3.3) by 22%, and boys 9-14 delivery (314,000) grew by 30% and ratings (2.5) by 32%.

Friday night’s animated action-adventure block (7-10 p.m.) ranked at television’s #1 destination in the time period among boys 9-14.  The block also charted considerable gains among older kids and boys vs. the 2009 time period: kids 6-11 delivery (521,000) improved by 9%, boys 6-11 delivery (440,000) improved by 10%, kids 9-14 delivery (425,000) improved by 25%, and boys 9-14 delivery (361,000) improved by 28%.

The one-hour season finale of BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN (7:30 p.m.) attracted significant double-digit growth among all kids and boys demos: kids 6-11 delivery (656,000) increased by 47%, kids 2-11 delivery (884,000) increasing by 18%, kids 9-14 delivery (530,000) increased by 97%, boys 6-11 delivery (556,000) increased by 51%, boys 2-11 delivery (715,000) increased by 21% and boys 9-14 delivery (441,000) increased by 93%.

As truTV continues toward completing its best year ever, the network’s original series are delivering outstanding time-period growth among key adult and male demos.  The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest… (Thursday at 9 p.m.), It Only Hurts When I Laugh (Thursday at 10 p.m.), Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura (Friday at 10 p.m.) and Inside American Jail (Sunday at 10 p.m.) all scored double-digit (and in some cases, triple-digit) time-period gains among adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49.

NBA TV continues to deliver strong audiences for its signature Tuesday night program Fan Night. Through the first six Fan Night games of the season, the network is averaging 378,000 total viewers and 298,000 households.

The network’s Dec. 14 Fan Night game will feature the Orlando Magic at the Denver Nuggets, winning with 82-percent of the fan vote on The game will air on Tues., Dec. 14 at 9:00 p.m. (ET) with host Ernie Johnson and analysts Chris Webber and Kevin McHale on-hand for studio coverage beginning at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
