Saturday Primetime Results:
Regarding this morning’s Nielsens, note that the fast-national ratings that came in at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT are not time zone-adjusted and typically understate live NFL telecasts. Despite that, NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox by wide margins in all key measures – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
- In metered-market results, which accurately reflect time-zone adjustments, last night’s Baltimore Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Wild Card Playoff telecast averaged a 17.3 rating, 29 share from 8:15-11:15 p.m. ET in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research, as NBC won primetime by wide margins in metered-market households and in 18-49 in the Local People Meter markets.
- The 17.3/29 overnight for the Ravens 30-17 win over the Steelers is the second-best metered-market rating for a Saturday AFC Wild Card game in the past six seasons, trailing over that span only the Jets-Colts matchup on Jan. 8, 2011 (20.8/33).
- Top local ratings for the Ravens-Steelers game on NBC were: Pittsburgh, 46.5/67; Baltimore, 46.0/67; Cincinnati, 25.4/41; Denver, 24.9/41; Las Vegas, 24.1/38; Seattle, 22.5/40; Richmond, 22.3/33; Washington D.C., 22.2/36; Cleveland, 22.0/32; and Charlotte, 21.7/34.
