TELEMUNDO’S “BAJO EL MISMO CIELO” PREMIERE DELIVERS 1.72 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS AND 928K ADULTS 18-49
MIAMI – July 29, 2015 – Last night’s premiere of TELEMUNDO’s “Bajo El Mismo Cielo” (Under the Same Sky) averaged 1,716,000 total viewers and 928,000 adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. Starring Gabriel Porras, Maria Elisa Camargo, Luis Ernesto Franco and Julio Bracho, “Bajo El Mismo Cielo” was the #1 Spanish-language program in its time slot among adults 18-34. The premiere also reached 2,392,000 total viewers and 1,237,000 adults 18-49. In Miami, it was the #1 Spanish-language program in its time slot among total viewers and ranked #1, regardless of language, among adults 18-49.
Online, the promotion for TELEMUNDO’s first ever 30-minute preview of “Bajo El Mismo Cielo” on Facebook has so far reached 3.3 million global users, generating 783,000 views. On premiere night, the novela reached 4.4 million global Facebook users with posts. Across Facebook and Twitter, there were 172,000 engagements and the hashtag #BajoElMismoCielo registered a total of 2,900,000 instances across Twitter and Instagram.
“Bajo El Mismo Cielo” is the story of Carlos Martinez (Porras), a relentless hard working Mexican immigrant who crosses the border illegally and settles with his family in Los Angeles, where he finds work as a landscaper. Carlos dreams of giving his children a better life and strives to offer them the opportunities he never had in Mexico.
