UniMás was the #2 Spanish-Language Network Beating Telemundo During the Monday-Friday 10 p.m. Hour for Sixth Consecutive Week

 

UniMás was the #2 Spanish-Language Network on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Night This Week, Out-Delivering Telemundo Among Adults 18-34

 

UniMás Grew its Audience Season-over-Season Among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%)

 

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 31, 2014 to April 6, 2014

 

·         For the sixth consecutive week, UniMás was the #2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo during the Monday-Friday 10 p.m. hour. UniMás held an advantage over Telemundo for the 10 p.m. hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+8%), and Adults 18-34 (+26%) viewers.

 

·         UniMás kicked off the week as the #2 Spanish-language network among Adults 18-34 on Monday night, out-delivering Telemundo by +5%.

 

ü  The 8 p.m. movie presentation “Sweepers” attracted more Adults 18-49 (+18% to 355,000) and Adults 18-34 (+32% to 196,000) viewers compared to last Monday’s film, “The Replacement Killers.”

 

ü  When airing head-to-head at 10 p.m., “La Viuda Negra” attracted +15% more Adults 18-34 viewers than Telemundo’s “Camelia la Texana.” In fact, “La Viuda Negra” averaged more Adults 18-34 viewers than Telemundo’s entire primetime novela line-up.

 

ü  Versus the prior Monday, UniMás reported week-over-week audience gains with Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and increased +5% among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

·         On Wednesday night, UniMás clinched the #2 Spanish-language network rank, out-delivering Telemundo among both Adults 18-49 (+1%) and Adults 18-34 (+5%).

 

ü  At 8 p.m., a special edition of “Aqui y Ahora” covering the fall of Joaquin Guzman Loera (“El Chapo Guzman”) averaged 600,000 Total Viewers 2+, 338,000 Adults 18-49, and 198,000 Adults 18-34.

 

ü  Following at 9 p.m., “La Viuda Negra” increased its viewership with Adults 18-49 (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+12%) versus last Wednesday’s 10 p.m. telecast.

 

ü  At 10 p.m., UniMás aired “Futbol Central,” the lead-in to its late night soccer match-up between Mexico and the US Men’s National team.  The pre-game averaged 1.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 807,000 Adults 18-49, and 369,000 Adults 18-34.

 

ü  UniMás increased its viewership over the prior Wednesday among Total Viewers 2+ (+21%), Adults 18-49 (+37%), and Adults 18-34 (+41%).

 

·         UniMás averaged more Adults 18-49 (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+38%) viewers than Telemundo on Friday, finishing the night as the #2 Spanish-language network.

 

ü  UniMás’ 8 p.m. title, “Snakes on a Plane” generated audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (671,000, +25%), Adults 18-49 (326,000, +29%), and Adults 18-34 (173,000, +60%) compared to last Friday’s 8 p.m. title.

 

ü  The 10 p.m. dramatic series “La Viuda Negra” out-delivered Telemundo’s “Camelia la Texana” by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49 (+47%) and Adults 18-34 (+81%).  In fact, “La Viuda Negra” ranked among the top 15 programs for the night among Adults 18-34, strengthening its Adults 18-34 (+28% to 401,000) and Adults 18-49 (+23% to 711,000) viewership versus the prior Friday.  

 

·         In the current 2013/2014 season, UniMás reported primetime audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%) over the comparable weeks in the 2012/2013 season. 

 

·         For the entire week, “La Viuda Negra” delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than Telemundo’s entire Monday-Friday primetime lineup. 

ü  Compared to Telemundo’s 10 p.m. novela “Camilia la Texana,” “La Viuda Negra” averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (1.2 Million, +2%), Adults 18-49 (632,000, +2%), and Adults 18-34 (352,000, +22%) this entire week.

 

·         Versus the same week a year ago (04/01/13-04/07/13), UniMás reported double-digit percentage growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+50%), Adults 18-49 (+43%), and Adults 18-34 (+75%) viewers.

 

·         UniMás, on average, more than doubled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox among Adults 18-49 (+122%) and Adults 18-34 (+172%)Furthermore, UniMás nearly doubled the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca, and MundoFox with Total Viewers 2+ (+90%).
