2014 World Cup Audience Is Pacing +45% Ahead Of 2010 World Cup through 23 Matches
Univision Deportes’ presentation of the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014™ has delivered 4 of the top 5 matches, across all networks regardless of language, for the tournament-to-date (23 matches) among Total Viewers. The matches aired on the Univision Network, which was simulcast on Univision Deportes Network (UDN), from June 12-19, 2014. The matches included Brazil vs. Mexico averaging 6.8 million Total Viewers on June 17, Brazil vs. Croatia averaging 5.1 million Total Viewers on June 12, Mexico vs. Cameroon averaging 5.0 million Total Viewers on June 13, and Argentina vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina averaging 4.9 million Total Viewers on June 15.
- Univision Deportes’ coverage of the Colombia vs. Ivory Coast match on Thursday, June 19, which averaged 2.3 million Total Viewers and 1.2 million Adults 18-49, outdelivered ESPN’s coverage of the same match by +15% among Total Viewers and +23% among Adults 18-49.
