Univision Ranked as the No. 4 Broadcast Network for the Week Among Adults 18-34, Outperforming CBS

 

Va Por Ti Finale Attracted 3.2 Million Total Viewers 2+ and Delivered More Adults 18-34 than ABC’s and

CBS’ Entire Sunday Lineup

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 1, 2014 to December 7, 2014

 

·         Univision ranked as the No. 4 broadcast network for the week (M-SU) among Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS.  Univision also out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five nights among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 and experienced growth over the same week last year (Adults 18-34 +16%, Adults 18-49 +17%).

·         “Mi Corazón es Tuyo” (My Heart is Yours) helped make Univision the No. 2 and No. 3 broadcast network, respectively, among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 Monday to Friday 8pm-9pm, outperforming ABC and FOX in each demographic.  The novela saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+13% to 3.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+24% to 1.9 million) and Adults 18-34 (+25% to 908,000).

·         “Hasta El Fin Del Mundo” (Until the End of Time) helped make Univision the No. 2 and No. 3 broadcast network, respectively, among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 Monday to Friday 9pm-10pm, outperforming CBS and FOX in each demographic.  The novela saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 3.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 1.8 million) and Adults 18-34 (+34% to 850,000).

·         At 10pm, “La Malquerida” (The Unloved) helped make Univision the No. 3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 Monday to Friday 10pm-11pm, outperforming ABC and CBS.  The novela saw growth over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+15% to 2.4 million), Adults 18-49 (+19% to 1.2 million) and Adults 18-34 (+20% to 531,000).

·         On Saturday night, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 867,000 Adults 18-49 and 273,000 Adults 18-34.

·         On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the No. 4 broadcast network among both Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS.  Univision’s full primetime lineup ranked within the top 20 programs for the entire evening among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

ü  Airing 8pm-10:31pm, the finale of “Va Por Ti” (This One’s For You) helped Univision rank as the No. 4 broadcast network in the time period among Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS.  The show averaged 3.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49 and 620,000 Adults 18-34.

o   Averaging its highest-rated telecast in the program’s full-run among Total Viewers 2+, “Va Por Ti” consistently increased its audience every half hour throughout its broadcast with strong double-digit audience growth in the last half hour compared to the first half hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+42%), Adults 18-49 (+39%) and Adults 18-34 (+31%).

o   Ranked within the top 10 programs on all of broadcast television, delivering more Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run airings and entire line-ups of ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “Resurrection” and “Revenge” as well as CBS’ “60 Minutes,”  “I Love Lucy Christmas Special,” “The Mentalist” and “CSI.”

o   Delivered more Adult 18-49 viewers than first-run airings of ABC’s “Resurrection” and “Revenge” as well as CBS’ “The Mentalist.”

 

 

ü  Following “Va Por Ti” at 10:31pm, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) helped Univision rank as the No. 3 broadcast network in the time period among Adults 18-34, outperforming CBS.  The show averaged 2.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and 427,000 Adults 18-34.
