No. 1 Cable Network Continues to Push Boundaries of Traditional TV by Developing Advanced Check-in System, Establishing a Unique Partnership with GetGlue and Debuting Innovative App – PSYCH Vision

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Dec. 15, 2010 – USA Network today unveiled its newest digital innovation, an iPhone and iPad compatible App for its hit series PSYCH called PSYCH Vision. In an industry-first, the App will provide a connection to the popular social entertainment check-in service GetGlue ( and seamlessly connect fans, through shared technology, to social and mobile features.
Through the App and partnership, PSYCH Vision users and GetGlue members will be able to seamlessly check-in to unlock exclusive PSYCH content, accrue Custom GetGlue stickers including USA branded stickers, and be linked with USA Network’s affinity rewards program Club PSYCH.  Through the last, members will be able to rack up Club PSYCH Points remotely whether they consume content on domain or off. While accruing points and interacting with content, fans will also be able to share their favorite show moments and chat with other fans through the new chatter feature

“Our digital team has worked tirelessly on providing fans the latest and greatest platforms, games and online destinations, but this year we’re expanding the USA Network digital experience off-domain,” said Jesse Redniss, vice president of digital, USA Network.  “By developing our mobile App for iPads and iPhones, we’re giving our fans another way to interact with USA content.  Additionally, by partnering with GetGlue we’re introducing current and new fans to an enhanced social experience.”

Beginning with tonight’s all-new episode of PSYCH (10/9c), Psych Vision users will be able to begin accessing exclusive content by inputting keywords that will be promoted in-show, online and via various PSYCH destinations. The keywords will unlock hidden treasures, such as videos, photos and more through the new App. Fans will also have access to social platform features that will allow users to keep friends abreast of their actions, before, during and after the program in a real-time experience.

PSYCH’s move to Wednesday nights in 2010 attracted the biggest P18-34 audience ever in the five year history of the series, breaking one million viewers in the demo for the first time ever (1.12 million) as well as hitting a series high for a yearly average among M18-49 (1.10 million).  When USA aired PSYCH in 2010, more M18-34 came to the network than any other network on television, broadcast or cable, except for “South-Park”-driven Comedy Central.
