Predictive Second-Screen Gaming App for Pro and College Football Complements
CBS Sports Fantasy App Aimed At Every Player On Every Fantasy Site

Sept. 12, 2013 – CBS Interactive announced on Thursday it has expanded its roster of fantasy sports mobile offerings with a new predictive second-screen game app for the 2013 football season. Built and delivered in partnership with PrePlay, the world’s leading predictive game studio, the CBS Sports PrePlay Football app will offer an interactive second-screen experience for both pro and college football games, allowing fans to predict every down of every drive in real time.

The app, which is available for free on iOS and Android, is designed to enhance both television and in-stadium viewer experiences by allowing users to compete with friends and other fans in play-by-play predictions as games play out. Fans will be able to predict every play in every professional football game of the regular season and postseason. Up to 15 college football games a week will be available for play prediction on the CBS Sports PrePlay Football app through bowl season. The app will also feature Twitter and Facebook integration, and allow players to connect and compete with friends by comparing picks and chatting directly within the app.

“Football fans are always hungry for more ways to consume content and engage with games on multiple devices,” said Jonathan Dube, General Manager of “The CBS Sports PrePlay Football App is a social game within a game that will truly enhance the viewer experience for both pro and college football. This is a highly engaging second-screen app that makes watching games even more exciting by letting fans play along.”

New CBS Sports Fantasy Football App Sees Significant Growth with Users of All Fantasy Sites

The CBS Sports Fantasy Football App, completely rebuilt and redesigned for this year, is now a content destination for all Fantasy Football players along with players. The app allows players on every fantasy site to access fantasy football news, stats, projections, analysis and advice with no account required, and has seen significant year-over-year growth since its launch in June. Through the end of August, the app’s user base has grown by 43 percent.
