“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” POSTS SEASON-TO-DATE GAINS IN VIEWERS
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was watched by more than 6 million viewers for the fifth time in the past six weeks and remained the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 1.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING averaged 6.08 million viewers and a 1.5/08 in adults 25-54, the demographic desired most by those who advertise in news.
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +2% in viewers (6.08m from 5.95m) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Lee Cowan’s visit with the folks at Daktronics, a South Dakota company that makes immense video screens used in stadiums; Mark Strassmann’s report on fantasy football; Serena Altschul’s look at the artwork on pizza boxes; Mo Rocca’s interview with Patricia Arquette; Bill Geist’s story on a group of retirees who lip sync stage performances; and Steve Hartman’s segment on love letters from the 1970s found at Goodwill and reunited with the original recipient.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
