COLLEGE HOOPS ACTION ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK THIS WEEKEND FEATURES ACTION FROM THE AMERICAN, BIG EAST AND ATLANTIC 10
SMU Visits No. 8 Louisville on Sunday, Jan. 12 in Battle of Legendary Head Coaches
CBS Sports Network’s college basketball coverage this weekend is highlighted by SMU at *No. 8-ranked Lousiville on Sunday, Jan. 12 (1:00 PM, ET). The American Athletic Conference contest features two of basketball’s legendary coaches – Larry Brown and Rick Pitino – meeting at the college level for the first time ever. Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas and Doug Gottlieb call the action from KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky.
Sunday’s action continues with Xavier at No. 23-ranked Creighton (3:00 PM, ET) from CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb. Tom McCarthy and Alaa Abdelnaby announce. Women’s action between St. Joseph’s and VCU (5:00 PM, ET) follows from Verizon Wireless Arena in Richmond, Va. Ed Cohen and Julianne Viani handle the call.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, CBS Sports Network features an Army–Navy doubleheader at Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Md. Jason Knapp, Chris Spatola and Evan Washburn call the women’s action at 1:30 PM, ET. Turner Sports’ Reggie Miller joins Knapp, Spatola and Washburn to call the men’s game at 4:00 PM, ET.
College hoops action continues with Rutgers at Cincinnati (6:00 PM, ET) from Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Brad Johansen and Steve Wolf announce. Saturday’s action concludes with St. Joseph’s at George Mason (8:00 PM, ET). Dave Ryan and Pete Gillen call the action.
Studio coverage throughout the weekend is hosted by Adam Zucker and Brent Stover, who are joined by analysts Mateen Cleaves and Wally Szczerbiak, as well as insiders Seth Davis and Jon Rothstein.
