“FACE THE NATION” IS THE SEASON’S #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION posted 3.39m viewers and 1.0/04 in adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 30. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 55% of the CBS affiliates.
On Nov. 30, FACE THE NATION was first in viewers and first in adults 25-54 among the Sunday morning public affairs programs. FACE THE NATION posted its best adults 25-54 rating since March 23, 2014, and beat its closest competitor by more than half a million viewers.
Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +15% in viewers (from 2.94m) and +67% in adults 25-54 (from 0.6/03)
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers and adults 25-54.
The Nov. 30 broadcast of FACE THE NATION featured interviews with Benjamin Crump, attorney for Michael Brown’s family, James Peterson of Lehigh University, Ta-Nehisi Coates of The Atlantic, Senators-elect Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Gary Peters (D-MI), and the Archdiocese of Chicago, Archbishop Blase Cupich. Guest host Norah O’Donnell also spoke to CBS News Political Director John Dickerson, Michael Crowley of Politico, and John Heilemann of Bloomberg Politics.
