Performance Will Be Streamed Live and
Available On Demand on CBS.com and VEVO
CBS Interactive’s award-winning webcast concert series, LIVE ON LETTERMAN, presented by AT&T, will feature Lorde performing live from the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City and webcast on CBS.com and VEVO, tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 12 (8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT).
Lorde’s LIVE ON LETTERMAN performance will feature songs from her debut album, Pure Heroine, including the hit single “Royals” and her latest single “Team.” Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to influence the set list by voting on their choice for the last song of the performance on CBS.com.
The LIVE ON LETTERMAN franchise, which has garnered nearly 200 million views to date on CBS.com and VEVO, has hosted some of the most established bands and musicians across the globe, staged in an intimate and dynamic setting for worldwide followers to enjoy. LIVE ON LETTERMAN webcasts have included some of music’s biggest stars, including Coldplay, Alicia Keys, The Killers, Depeche Mode, John Legend and Mumford & Sons.
Lorde, born and raised on Auckland’s North Shore, possesses a singular ability to capture the majesty and mundanity of teenage life in striking melodic snapshots that belie her age and experience. Her first album, The Love Club EP, launched with no marketing or publicity and still shot to #1 on the New Zealand Album Chart. Her debut album, Pure Heroine, was released in September to critical acclaim, with “Royals” skyrocketing to the top spot in the singles chart. Rejecting the trite banalities that are usually presumed to represent a 17-year-old’s outlook, Lorde’s music manages to capture the very essence of the frustration and freedom, the curiosity and confidence, and the plain old wonder of teenage life in a truly unique way.
Fans can watch Lorde’s webcast live or on-demand on CBS.com at http://www.cbs.com/shows/liveonletterman/. Also, during CBS.com’s live webcast, fans will have access to interactive features such as multiple camera angles, “Share the Moment” instant photos, the ability to pick the last song in the band’s set and more. Additionally, the webcast is available live and on-demand through CBS properties, select CBS RADIO stations’ websites, on Radio.com, and on-demand via the CBS App for iOS, Android and Windows 8. Also, the webcasts are offered on VEVO, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, through VEVO.com and its free mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and iPad. The on-demand performances are available across the entire VEVO platform, including VEVO.com, its mobile and tablet apps, mobile website, connected TVs and syndication partners.
Lorde’s LIVE ON LETTERMAN webcast will precede her appearance on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN that same evening, Tuesday, Nov. 12 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
