In August the Yahoo-ABC News Network maintained its leadership position as the top source for news and information online. For 19 consecutive months the Yahoo-ABC News Network has delivered more page views, more total unique users and more total minutes than any other online news source. For over a year and a half, the Yahoo-ABC News Network has consistently placed far ahead of its online news competitors in all three categories, according to data provided by comScore.

For the month, the Yahoo-ABC News Network delivered a combined total of 2.6 billion page views, outperforming:

•       Yahoo!-ABC News Network (2.6 billion)

•       CNN Network by 40% (1.8 billion)

•       HMPG News by 89% (1.4 billion)

•      Fox News Digital by 170% (948 million)

•       NBC News Digital by 176% (930 million)

•       CBS News by 295% (649 million)

In August, 82.2 million unique visitors turned to the Yahoo-ABC News Network for breaking news reports, in-depth investigations and original, digital video programming, surpassing:

•       Yahoo!-ABC News Network (82.2 million)

•       HPMG News by 34% (61 million)

•       NBC News Digital by 63% (50 million)

•       CBS News by 119% (37 million)

•       Fox News Digital Network by 185% (29 million)

The Yahoo-ABC News Network continues to provide users with a wide array of compelling, cross-platform video content experiences. Just last month the Yahoo-ABC News Network launched “World News: Beyond the Headline” and “Nightline Fix” – two daily, digital extensions of ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline,” available exclusively on Yahoo. Millions of unique viewers tuned-in online to watch everything from Martha Raddatz’ exclusive interview with Egypt’s Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi to live streaming coverage of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and the co-produced original, digital video series, “GMA Live” episodes, in-depth interviews from the “Power Players” series, and “Katie’s Take.” on Yahoo: on Yahoo is the #1 morning news show website.
