Hit Shows “From Beyond” and “I Love Jenni” Lift mun2 in August

Universal City, CA – August 31, 2011 – mun2, the bilingual cable network, experienced its eighth month of year to year consecutive growth in Prime. The network’s originals – “From Beyond” and “I Love Jenni” – contributed to the audience success of mun2 Sunday nights for August, improving the time period by an impressive +47% among YLAs (Young Latino Americans, 18-34) compared to one year ago.

During Monday-Sunday prime (7-11p.m.) for August mun2 delivered 68,000 total viewers (persons 2+), 39,000 persons 18-49 and 25,000 YLAs (persons 18-34), growing +25% over the prior year. For the You’re On Weekends block, Saturday-Sunday (12-7p.m.) mun2 had 48,000 persons total viewers, 27,000 persons 18-49 and 21,000 YLAs for the month of August, growing +11% over the prior year.

Program Highlights:

“From Beyond,” the networks’ paranormal investigation reality series, has become a summer hit with 57,000 YLAs tuning in on August 14 and 28. Its August 28 airing hit pay dirt, pulling in 106,000 total viewers, 72,000 persons 18-49 and 57,000 YLAs. With total viewers and YLAs the show was the most watched program on Sunday night August 14 and 28 compared to all Hispanic cable networks, including Galavision, Discovery en Espanol, Discovery Familia, Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes, Trs3 and GOL TV. “From Beyond” ranked amongst the top 10 most watched cable programs for YLAs, regardless of language, across all English or Hispanic cable for August 28.
The summer repeats of “I Love Jenni” on Sunday night (9 p.m.) continue to be strong with a delivery of 60,000 total viewers, 43,000 persons 18-49 and 30,000 YLAs, showing triple-digit growth among YLAs (+173%) compared to its July 2011 average (11,000).
“Have You Cine’s” (HYC) Once Upon a Time in Mexico hit a high with 109,000 total viewers, 81,000 persons 18-49 and 74,000 persons 18-34 on Friday 9 p.m. (8/26/11), making it the second highest delivery for any HYC movie on mun2 this year. mun2 was the most watched Hispanic cable network that night in the 9p.m-11p.m. hour, beating GAL by a margin of +42% in persons 18-34.
“Decisiones Extremas” (Friday 9 p.m.) saw a large improvement from prior month, with 80,000 persons 2+, 59,000 persons 18-49 and 42,000 persons 18-34, an increase of +163% among YLAs. highlights enjoyed double digit growth in August, with over 7 million pageviews – a jump of 31% month to month. Streaming video saw an increase of 13%, delivering over 437,000 streams during the month. had the highest amount of traffic from mobile devices in August, with over one million mobile views.
Amongst originals, “From Beyond” has already attracted 26,000 visitors in August and delivered 348,000 page views. Since its launch, the page has seen over 47,000 visitors and 476,000 page views.

mun2 original “Beauties & The Boss” continues to be a popular online destination, increasing 17% in visitors in August compared to July. Page views have increased 43% with 219,000 views.
