For the week of September 12, 2011, Disney Junior once again surged over year-ago averages, posting hefty double-digit percent increases in the hours, up by 18% in Kids 2-5 (472,000 vs. 399,000), by 28% in Boys 2-5 (272,000 vs. 212,000) and by 52% in Women 18-49 (290,000 vs. 191,000).


Overall, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” were the week’s Top 2 preschool series among Boys 2-5, with the shows combining to account for the Top 9 preschool telecasts across all cable in the demo.


  • Saturday’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” (8:00 – 8:55 a.m.) stood as cable’s No. 1 telecast of the week among Boys 2-5 (589,000/6.9 rating), and the No. 1 preschool cable telecast among Kids 2-5 (945,000/5.7 rating).


  • Notably, this was the series’ No. 2 telecast of all time in Total Viewers (2.96 million – behind 11/14/09, 2.99 million), its No. 3 telecast on record in Boys 2-5 and its most-watched telecast in more than 4 months in Kids 2-5 – since 5/5/11.


  • Among Boys 2-5, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” (343,000/4.0 rating) and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” stood as cable’s Top 2 series.


  • Impressively, the 2 shows accounted for cable’s Top 9 preschool telecasts for the week in Boys 2-5.


  • To date, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” is pacing as Disney Channel’s No. 1 series of all time among Total Viewers (2.4 million), Kids 2-5 (1.1 million/6.3 rating), Boys 2-5 (656,000/7.6 rating) and Women 18-49 (444,000/0.7 rating) through its first 20 original episodes.
