Hennessy to Sponsor Branded One-on-One Room Backstage at the Award Show

MIAMI – August 18, 2014 – honoring the best in novelas, music and sports. Additionally, the third-annual celebration of U.S. Latin pop culture will be sponsored by Walmart, Colgate Optic White and Bud Light. The event, to be simulcast on Telemundo and mun2, will feature electrifying live musical performances by Juanes, Alexis & Fido, Yandel, El General Gadiel, Olga Tañon, Elvis Crespo, David Bisbal, Gabriel Coronel, La Ley, Lucero, Gerardo Ortiz, Natalia Jimenez and Los Tucanes de Tijuana on Thursday, August 21, at 8PM/7c from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
Hosted by novela stars Gaby Espino and Aarón Díaz, the annual awards show combines the power of television, web, mobile and social media platforms to give fans the final say in celebrating everything that moves and inspires them. This year’s nominees include top Latin music stars such as Juanes, Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Ricky Martin and, Shakira; novela stars Rafael Amaya (“El Señor de los Cielos”), Sara Maldonado (“Camelia la Texana”), Jorge Luis Pila (“En Otra Piel”) and Christian Bach (“La Impostora”), among many others.

A twist on the traditional red carpet, the “Premios Tu Mundo” blue carpet sponsored by Allstate will feature the Effie Award-winning character “Mala Suerte” (“Bad Luck”), who will be interviewed on the carpet and appear in bumpers during the show before presenting the custom “Mejor Momento de la Mala Suerte” award. Excitement for the return of “Mala Suerte” will build in the days before the show with custom and cross promotional segments on Telemundo’s morning show, “Un Nuevo Día.” Other on-air integrations sponsored by Allstate include custom tagged network promos, web-drivers to vote for the custom category and more.
Digital components of Allstate’s sponsorship will include a VIP Social Lounge, which will host exclusive content throughout the show on a dedicated hub, Telemundo’s first Twitter Amplify program, exclusive Vine content leading up to the special and from the blue carpet with appearances by “Mala Suerte,” Telemundo homepage roadblocks, online and mobile co-branded banners, and more.
Walmart’s sponsorship will include a blue carpet integration rewarding fans in attendance with tickets to enjoy the show in a special section, which will be highlighted during the main show. Additional elements of the sponsorship will include custom tune-ins, web drivers and cross promotional segments on “Un Nuevo Día” and “Al Rojo Vivo.”
As the exclusive automotive sponsor, Volkswagen of America will have Telemundo novela star David Chocarro arriving in style via a 2014 Passat, in addition to presenting the “El Favorito de la Noche” award generated by live social voting throughout the show. Digital components include exclusive sponsorship of the Moda Section on Telemundo.com featuring coverage of the night’s fashion and interviews with the nominees and special guests.
On the blue carpet, the host will reference the arrival of the “Premios Tu Mundo” superfan who will be selected on “Un Nuevo Día” the morning of “Premios Tu Mundo.” The lucky superfan will receive a glamorous makeover courtesy of L’Oreal Paris artists, Marcos Carrasquillo and Claudia Betancur, preparing them for the event. In addition, the L’Oreal Paris Makeup Genius App will be mentioned during an additional “Un Nuevo Día” segment the following day to illustrate how fans at home can recreate a similar red carpet look.
Colgate Optic White’s sponsorship will feature a special Colgate Optic White Zone with a thematic interview featuring Monica Noguera, the presenter of the “Best Supporting Actress” award sponsored by Colgate Optic White.
The highly-anticipated winner announcement of “Buscando Mi Ritmo” will be revealed on the blue carpet of “Premios Tu Mundo,” in an unprecedented performance by the winning contestant and band. The special performance is the culmination of the first season of the six-episode musical competition series, created and produced by Telemundo in collaboration with Bud Light. “Buscando Mi Ritmo” and “Premios Tu Mundo” host Gaby Espino will introduce the winning performance live on the blue carpet, and reveal the artist and band chosen by viewers nationwide. In addition, Bud Light – through its Buscando Mi Ritmo/Premios Tu Mundo sweepstakes – will give 10 lucky fans VIP access to the awards show to be part of this special performance, and meet and greet stars from the show.
Exclusively on mun2, Hennessy V.S will sponsor a branded one-on-one room backstage at the award show, with interviews of popular talent, where fans can discover how interviewees “Never Stop. Never Settle.”
