With no Super Bowl, Fox returned to sweeping the age demos for the 20th week of the 2008-9 season (February 2-8).  With the assistance of the Grammy Awards on Sunday, CBS topped the week for average viewers and was second for adults 18-49 and 25-54.

CBS’s average viewership of 11.50 million beat second place Fox by 750,000 average viewers. For demo adults 18-49 it was Fox over CBS by 5.27 million to 4.21 million. Fox won demo adults 25-54 over CBS by 5.73 million to 4.91 million viewers. In adults 18-34, Fox lead with 2.33 million to 1.72 million for ABC.

With the NFL season now just a memory (although NBC got a small bump from the Pro Bowl finish Sunday), NBC looks to be mired in 4th place for the rest of the season. ABC is hoping their new spring series give them a fighting chance in the demos vs. CBS. We won’t know how that fight is looking for a while though.

Tiny Network Smackdown Update! With all its shows in new episodes the CW had no problem besting MyNetworkTV across the board. (Sorry for the bar ordering this week, CW should have been to the left of MyNet) Tune in next week for more of the tussle!
