NBC’s weekly prime-time adults 18-34 demo average, so lofty when it had 4 hours of NFL related programs on Sunday night, has collapsed this spring, and for the second week in a row NBC finished behind Univision in that demo.

In other news, of course, Fox continued to win the adult demo groups, and CBS again beat Fox for the most average viewers in the week of March 23-29, 2009, the 27th week of the 2008-9 season.

CBS’s average viewership of 11.39 million beat second place Fox by 1.15 million average viewers, but in the demos it was a different story. For demo adults 18-49 it was Fox over CBS by 4.99 million to 4.37 million.

Fox won demo adults 25-54 over CBS by 5.46 million to 5.05 million viewers. In adults 18-34, is was Fox with 2.22 million, above second place CBS  with 1.63 million.

It is noteworthy that CBS, which some see as entirely viewed by geriatrics, has been far more competitive in both of the younger adult demos (18-49, 18-34) this season.

Tiny Network Smackdown Update! CW had comfortable margins over MyNet across the board last week.
