The NBA Finals and “The Bachelorette” pushed ABC to its best week in the ratings in three months, and “America’s Got Talent” helped NBC start the summer well.
ABC led the week of May 28 in both adults 18-49 (1.9 rating) and total viewers (6.16 million), helped enormously by the first two NBA Finals games. They delivered 6.6 and 6.5 ratings in the demographic. “The Bachelorette” premiered with a 1.4, good for eighth place in the demo.
The network had its best week since Feb. 26-March 4, when it aired the Oscars.
“AGT” opened with a 2.5 in adults 18-49 and 12.16 million viewers, both of which were the top non-sports averages of the week. NBC was up 0.3 week to week in the 18-49 demographic (1.1 vs. 0.8) and improved by about half a million viewers.
