It was another unsurprisingly off ratings week for the late-night shows as the holiday break continued, and they all remained on hiatus.
“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” won the week again with a 0.55 rating in adults 18-49, up significantly from its previous 0.38 – making it the NBC show’s highest-rated encore week since Jan. 1-5, 2018. Also on NBC, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” similarly ticked back up from a 0.21 to a 0.27.
CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” managed to climb back up to a 0.32, from the 0.27 it had scored Christmas week. ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” rose three-hundredths of a point to a 0.34 as well, while “The Late Late Show with James Corden” posted a 0.18 for the second week in a row.
Here are the late-night numbers for Dec. 31, 2018 – Jan. 4, 2019:
Notes: ABC programming was preempted on Dec. 31. All Jan. 1 programming was excluded due to the New Year’s holiday, and CBS’ Dec. 31 shows were also excluded.
