In the week of Dec. 5-9, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” fell slightly from its previous milestone numbers, slipping from a 0.91 to a 0.87 rating in adults 18-49. Predictably, the series still managed to stay on top of its 11:35 p.m. timeslot. Also on NBC, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” experienced a similar, small drop from a 0.47 to a 0.45.
After falling in its previous week as well, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” managed to score a notable increase, ticking up from a low 0.42 to a 0.55, towering over “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” 0.45 in the same timeslot. “The Late Late Show with James Corden” managed to break its recent streak of drops, increasing from a 0.25 to a 0.31. This was the same as “Nightline” for the week, though “Corden” managed to bring in slightly more viewers.
Finally, in cable, “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” scored a 0.30 rating on Comedy Central, off .03 from its previous 0.33, while “Conan” ticked up from a 0.26 to a 0.28.
Here are the late-night numbers for Dec. 5-9, 2016.
Note: NBC’s Dec. 8 shows were delayed by an NFL overrun. “Late Night,” “Late Late Show” and “Last Call,” meanwhile, all aired encores on Friday.
