“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” returned to the top of the late-night ratings for the week of July 29.

The NBC series led the week’s late-night shows with a 0.35 average rating among adults 18-49, up six-hundredths of a point from the 0.29 it scored the week before. Elsewhere, CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” posted its second straight 0.30, and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” inched up from a 0.29 to a 0.30 – tying it with “Colbert” in the demo.

“Late Night with Seth Meyers” similarly rose from its previous 0.18 to a 0.19, while “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (0.14) ticked down two-hundredths of a point week-to-week. Additionally, “Nightline” posted a 0.20, up from the 0.17 it scored the previous week.

In cable, Comedy Central’s “Lights Out with David Spade” debuted fairly low, and (no doubt suffering from its summer premiere slot), averaged only a 0.14 rating. It was, however, only a bit below its lead-in, as “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” averaged a 0.18 for the week.

Here are the late-night numbers for July 29 – August 2, 2019:

Notes: Aug. 1’s NBC shows were delayed by an NFL preseason overrun. Aug. 2’s “Late Show,” “Tonight,” “Kimmel,” “Late Night,” and “Late Late Show” were encores. The Aug. 2 CBS rebroadcasts are excluded from these averages.
