“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” held onto the top spot in the late-night ratings for the first week of the 2019-20 season.
The NBC series remained the week’s highest-rated show with a 0.34 average rating among adults 18-49, back up from the 0.32 it averaged the week before. CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” followed closely behind with a 0.33 average, also up from its previous 0.30. ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (0.31) stayed in third place, despite similarly rising two-hundredths of a point week-to-week.
On NBC, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” led the 12:35 a.m. time slot by ticking back up from a 0.20 rating to a 0.21. Elsewhere, CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” grabbed a 0.18, up one-hundredth of a point from its average the previous week. At 1:35 a.m., “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” averaged a 0.15, up from the 0.14 it posted for its first week on the air.
In cable, TBS’ “Conan” dropped from a 0.13 to a 0.11, while Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” rose from a 0.17 to a 0.19. “Lights Out with David Spade” (0.12) also ticked up two-hundredths of a point.
