“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” won the first week of the new TV season in the late-night ratings.
The NBC series managed to tick up one-hundredth of a point week-to-week, from its previous 0.50 to a 0.51 rating in the adults 18-49 demo – keeping it on top of the 11:35 p.m. time slot in the measure. Also on NBC, though, “Late Night with Seth Meyers” actually took a minor hit, falling from a 0.31 to a 0.30.
Elsewhere, CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” experienced the biggest ratings leap of any of the late-night shows, rising a whole point from a 0.35 the week before to a 0.45 this time around. ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” managed to tick up five-hundredths of a point to a 0.37, while “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (0.23) was up four-hundredths as well.
In cable, TBS’ “Conan” rose from a 0.10 to a 0.11, and Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” ticked up three-hundredths to a 0.24.
