Syndicated ratings were down somewhat in the week of March 14-20, thanks in part to the first round of the NCAA Tournament mucking up daytime schedules on CBS stations and providing extra competition to others.
“Family Feud” climbed back on top of the game-show rankings for the week with a 6.4 household rating, topping the previous week’s winner, “Wheel of Fortune.” “Judge Judy” remained the No. 1 weekday strip with a 6.5. “Dr. Phil” and “Live with Kelly and Michael” shared the top talk-show rating at 2.9

Why do you use household ratings here but nowhere else? Ad deals for syndicated shows are largely based on household ratings and, for daytime shows, ratings among women 25-54.
What about “The Simpsons”? “Simpsons” repeats in syndication are not counted in the weekly ratings because they don’t include any national advertising.
“Weekend Adventure” is a package of nature shows airing weekends on many ABC stations.
For syndicated shows airing on multiple days, the viewership is the average of all telecasts.
